The applied protocols are completely aimed at finding the physiological variables associated with the athlete&#8217;s performance and at analyzing how their metabolism evolves at different intensities of effort.<\/p>\n<p>After measuring the athlete&#8217;s body composition, ergospirometry and\/or blood lactate measurement is performed during exercise. The exchange of gases (Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide) produced during breathing in an incremental protocol or constant loads is recorded, and the physiological variables that determine performance in endurance sports are extracted, in addition to the associated energy expenditure.
